Mindfulness trains students to pay attention to experience as it happens

Stephen has spoken a lot about it on the first day back, in assemblies and at briefing, the Junior school are having training on it, it is a strand in the Learning for Life curriculum and is a big part of this year’s anti-bullying week (w/c 2nd November)…and I met the founder of one approach (the .b programme) at an academic conference where he was speaking last year. But what is ‘Mindfulness’? And how can it be useful for schools? Luckily VHF has forwarded me a link which helps explain everything you might need to know:

It’s not often we get the chance to discuss¬†a strategy recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence!

If you have any other questions about Mindfulness or Anti-Bullying Week the Learning for Life staff (VHF and CXG) would be happy to help.
