It has been another very busy and fun-filled week in Year One.
On Monday we enjoyed the exciting activities and stalls at the Charity Fair, on Wednesday we watched the fantastic Year 3 performance of Shrek and on Thursday we took part in all things African as part of our House Rotation Day. To end the week, there was much laughter on Friday as we came to school wearing our pyjamas to raise money for our Shrewsbury charities.
We have also managed to fit in lots of learning in class too. In Numeracy, we have been adding amounts of money and finding totals in preparation for our trip to 7 Eleven next week.
In Literacy, we have been writing non-fiction reports that include all the facts we researched about our chosen African animal using the PebbleGo app and non-fiction texts.
In Science, we have continued with the animal theme and have been sorting animals into carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Feel free to ask us what these words mean!
Just a few reminders for next week:
Please send your child in with 20 Baht in a named purse or envelope to spend during our trip to 7 Eleven.
Come in Chinese costumes on Wednesday 14th February as part of our Chinese New Year celebrations.
School finishes for half term on Thursday 15th February at 2.20pm.
Thank you for all your support with our activities this week and next.
Have a lovely weekend.
