It has been another busy week in Year 1!
In Literacy, we have continued our work on Lila and the Secret of Rain. The children have sequenced the main events in their own story maps, acted out the story, and even begun writing out the story themselves!
In Maths, we have focussed on time and have tried to solve time problems, and have attempted to put the months of the year into the correct order.
The children looked at pictures of an African savannah in Geography and thought about how it might be similar, and how it might be different, to Bangkok.
In Science we even sorted animals depending on whether they were from Africa or not. Not an easy task, we can assure you!
As well as all of the learning in our subject lessons, we have also been continuing our topic through Active Learning by making African necklaces, listening to African stories and lots of other ‘Africa’ related activities! The learning never stops!
Until next week!
