We can hardly believe that we are at the end of another half term and what a jam-packed few weeks it’s been!
The highlight of this week has most definitely been our trips to City Campus.
The children were fully immersed in all things African and loved every minute. We made and tasted delicious Moroccan cous -cous, learnt an African dance and created colourful masks. It was lovely to see all the children from both campuses learning together and having so much fun!
In the classroom this week, we have been writing non-chronological reports about the African animal that we researched last week. We have been trying to extend our sentences using connectives such as and, because, so and also. Our reports are now going to be made into a class fact book about African animals! Come and have a read sometime!
In Maths, we have been learning about length and height, focusing on comparing lengths using the language tall, taller, tallest and short, shorter, shortest.
In Topic and Science we have been reflecting on all that we have learnt this half term about Africa and sorting and grouping animals. We are amazed at how confidently the children can now talk about their learning.
We are really looking forward to our pyjama afternoon today and raising money for our charities.
Have a lovely week’s holiday and we look forward to seeing you on Monday 25th February. Thank you for your continued support this half term.
