Dear Parents,

WE MADE IT! Another fantastic term has come to a close, and what an action packed one it was too! Let’s look back at our last week…

On Monday, we went to Kidzania, which was the most fun! The children assumed the roles of detectives, vets, delivery people, chefs, designers and so much more! It was a fantastic experience enjoyed by both children and adults alike!

On Wednesday, we celebrated Songkran by wearing our colourful shirts, eating delicious snacks and even getting our friends a little wet. It was lots of fun!

On Thursday, we joined in with the Fun Run. It was great to see so many of you there, sporting the charity ‘Fun Run’ t-shirts.

On Friday, the Thai department hosted a palm watering ceremony, which was a lovely way to cap off the term.

In Literacy, we recorded our own stop motion animations, using our dioramas and clay models of Beegu. It took quite a bit of time and practise, but we’re very happy with our end results!

In Maths, we looked at quarters and halves of shapes. We coloured in different fractions of shapes and tried to solve some tricky fraction problems. Why don’t you ask your children to find halves, quarters and wholes around your home? Well that’s it for now…

Thank you for your continued support. Have a lovely and well-earned break.

Sawadee pee mai,

The Year 1 Team
