Wow, what a fabulous year we have all had in Year 3! The children are well and truly ready for the challenges of Year 4 now, and we wish them and you a restful, well-earned break before then.
This week in Literacy the children have finished writing and editing their adventure stories – we hope you will enjoy reading them at home!
In Numeracy the children have revised multiplication and division strategies, especially the grid or column methods for multiplication.
In Topic lessons, the children have been exploring Bangkok of the past and looking at historical architecture.
In Science, the children have investigated how a toy car moves on a variety of different surface materials, to decide which would be the best material for making a toy car track.
In Art, we have been working hard to finish off painting and decorating our modroc temples and buildings, and they are looking great!
And we have, of course, also been very busy getting ready for the end of term and saying goodbye to lots of people. We’ve attended the Year 6 graduation assembly, a special farewell assembly with Mr Holroyd and Ms Dennison and, last but not least, our own class parties yesterday. Huge thanks to all the parents and nannies who helped by bringing food and setting up.
Thank you once again for all your support this year and we wish you and your children all the best for next year. Have a brilliant summer!
