Wow! It’s been another super busy week in Year 3! Thank you to all of the parents who came to parents evening this week. We hope you found it useful to speak to your child’s class teacher.

In Literacy, we have learnt to Talk the Text and all of the children can remember all six paragraphs of information about Giant Pandas. They will then use this knowledge of the text structure to write a report about their own animal. We have also learnt more about the features of report writing and practised using subordinating conjunctions.

In Numeracy, we have continued practise a range of methods for addition and subtraction, using expanded column method and carrying methods. We have applied these skills to solve problems and even create our own board games.

In Art, we have been busy designing our endangered animal T-shirts and accessories ready for our Year 3 fashion show. We have also made the stamps that we will use to print with.

In Science, we have been studying and comparing human and animal skeletons and we will finish the term with our own Scientific investigation, focusing on prediction skills.

We hope you have an enjoyable and relaxing long weekend!
