Well done to all of the Year 3 students for their fabulous production of Shrek! We have been so pleased with all of the hard work that the children have put in and we are sure you will agree with us that their dedication really paid off. Some of our Y1 and 2 children described the show as “amazing”, “fun” and “hilarious”.
What has been extremely impressive over the last few weeks is the student’s continued commitment to the rest of their learning. We are so proud of their mature attitudes and enthusiasm. Well done Year 3 – just 4 school days to go and then a very well-deserved break!
This week, in Literacy the children have been completing their work on scripts and are moving on to learn about character descriptions.
In Maths the children have enjoyed using polydron to make 3D shapes. We have started to learn about multiplication and division.
In Topic we have enjoyed completing our own fantasy maps. Some children have started writing questions about their maps for their friends to answer using their understanding of grid references and the points of the compass.
In Science we have had fun continuing to investigate various opaque, translucent and transparent materials and beginning to explore shadow changes.
In Art we have continued to work in the style of Quentin Blake. We have explored water colours and are beginning to create our own characters in the style of Quentin Blake’s work.
Enjoy your weekend after a busy week!
