4LP were very excited to have Year 8 visit during our Literacy lesson today. They worked in groups to read Roald Dahl’s poem ‘The Scorpion’ from his book ‘Dirty Beasts’ and then used the poem to create a performance. There was a range of ideas from memorising the poem, using actions to retell it or even writing their own poem using the same style. It was very pleasing to see the children work collaboratively and to have the confidence to share their ideas with people of different ages. We all definitely enjoyed ourselves.
