As part of our Literacy curriculum, and to tie in with the Sustainable Development Goals, year 4 wrote to the executive chef of the Chatrium, Mr Kells, with suggestions to reduce hunger and create a more sustainable offering. Having read the letters, Mr Kells invited our School Council representatives and deputies to a presentation where he addressed the points we had raised, and also gave us additional ideas for us to consider. We would like to extend our thanks to Mr Kells for the time he has dedicated to helping us, and look forward to helping our councilors cascade the information to others in order to implement change in our own school environment.
Food for thought
