This week has been a very busy one. We have returned from our trip to Khao Yai full of energy and ready to continue with our topic work.
Year 5 have been studying David Attenborough, putting their note taking skills into practise and identifying key events in his life.
During maths, we have been looking at multiplying by 10, 100 and 1000. The children have become ‘teachers’ and created a ‘how to’ guide for this process.
In art, we have continued learning about Andy Goldsworthy. We decided to create our own pieces of art using equipment found around school and the results were impressive!
Finally, we celebrated Loy Krathong, which was a brilliant experience as a new teacher. The children explained the significance of the festival and looked wonderful in their outfits.
