5AW visited the Escape Hunt Experience today and became detectives for the morning. The tasks were challenging, a little mysterious, and required a lot of collaboration skills. 3 of the 4 groups succeeded in escaping…although I’m pleased to say everyone made it back to SHB safely.
In preparation for our crime scene sketching, based on the long term project, we have been drawing 3D shapes. We focused hard on line direction and shading, then evaluated our partners drawings. Chess anyone?

As part of Fully Booked, 10BA visited 5AW. They began by reading books simply for the pleasure of reading. This was followed by a question and answer session during which Year 10’s shared their thoughts and advice. Finally, Year 5 read to Year 10, thinking about authorial techniques, predictions, inference and asking questions.
Our writing this week has focused on instructions – specifically for building a Lego rocket with Year 2 children.
