What a show-stopping week in Junior School it has been.
As we have read more and more of our Literacy text, Kensuke’s Kingdom, we have completed a wide range of tasks which have challenged all areas of the English curriculum. We have summarised the key parts from our reading, mimed sections of the text and written postcards home. We have all finally reached the climax of our book where the lead character, Michael, falls off his family yacht (Peggy Sue) and into the icy-water below. Next week we will continue to follow his journey and will hopefully, finally find out who Kensuke really is.
In Numeracy we have been developing our fluency and reasoning when working with fractions. We have learned how to add, subtract and multiply all types of fractions and will move onto division on Monday. As we develop our confidence further, we will apply these skills to problem solving activities.
Next week, on Wednesday, we will be celebrating Chinese New Year. All students are invited to wear traditional dress on this day.
Thursday is the last day of the half-term and therefore our final review will be published then.
Many thanks for your continued support and I hope you have a great weekend.
