Inter-House Football

Dear Parents,

Please allow me to pass on the following information on behalf of our PE department regarding Inter-House football:

Year 4: Thursday 29th November 2018 (Day 4) Lesson 1.

We would like students to come to school dressed in house PE kit on their inter-house football day, with their football boots and shin pads in a bag. They need to be in trainers throughout the morning. Any students without football boots and shin pads wishing to take part in trainers need to have the form signed by parents. Please ensure children have hats and water bottles.

Many thanks,

Amy Coad

Swimming and PE

Dear parents,

Our PE department have asked us to pass on the following:

Please can you help us ensure children are prepared for their PE and Swimming lessons. Children need hats for PE, as well as water bottles. The school policy is that if children are well enough to attend school, they are well enough to take part in PE or swimming, unless a doctor’s note is provided.

Our Ready to Learn website has videos explaining the importance of physical exercise in helping develop memory and academic performance, which may be of interest.

Many thanks for your support,

Alan Wright

PE and Sports Coaching Conference at Oxford University – 15th and 16th July 2014

PE and Sports Coaching Conference
At Oxford University
15th and 16th July 2014

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Coaching Conference for overseas teachers which this year is to be held at Oxford University. The conference is intended to provide teachers of PE and Games who are currently working overseas with the same CPD opportunities as their colleagues in England. It is hoped that this will allow them to stay abreast of current practice, to develop their work overseas and retain a status in the job market in England. We are aware of the difficulties of accessing these opportunities from overseas and also the fact that many expatriate teachers return to England during the long summer holiday. We hope that the historic location of Oxford University as both a seat of learning and sporting endeavour will prove convenient and inspirational. The Athletics course will be on the track on which Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute barrier in 1954.
