BISAC Squad Selection

Junior BISAC – Saturday March 28th, Senior BISAC – Sunday March 29th, Hosted by Harrow International School.

This squad has been selected based on the results achieved by swimmers in competition over the past 12 months, together with their commitment to the minimum number of training sessions per week through CHQ. If you believe your name should have been included below please contact Mrs Gill, Khun Lynn or Khun Tum in the Sports and Activities office to confirm your training commitments.  For safety it is essential all swimmers are present on the register for every session they intend to attend.

Minimum training requirements: Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3 – 2 training sessions per week. Level 4, Level 5 & Level 6 – 3 training sessions per week commitment is required, swimmers are able to register for more sessions per week if they are available.

For the swimmers who have moved this year into the senior age group please remember the above training commitments also apply to your squads. It is wonderful that this age group is now so competitive for places in the team. If you were unlucky not to have been selected this year please do not be disheartened – next year you will be the oldest in this age group and will be a strong contender for a place.

Dear Parents

Due to a last minute overseas team withdrawal, I am very pleased to announce that Shrewsbury have been invited to attend the 2015 hosting of the ISB Splash Meet (March 7th and 8th). Please note we will therefore no longer be attending the St Andrews – Marylins Mayhem meet on March 7th.

Swimmers may attend 1 day or both days if they wish. For swimmers who did not attend Splash last year; the meet is a short course meet on Saturday (hosted in a 10 lane 25m pool) and a long course meet (hosted in a 10 lane 50m pool) on Sunday. The Sunday hosting of this meet provides our swimmers with much needed experience of swimming in an international long course event.

Entry is open to any swimmer in Level 0 and above – including those selected for BISAC. Swimmers may enter a maximum of 4 individual events on Saturday and 3 individual events on Sunday. Entry into this meet is 1000thb payable by the swimmer.

Due to the last minute nature of this invitation, entries are required to be with ISB by Monday 23rd February, therefore all entries must have been received in the Sports and Activities Office by 5pm on Friday 13th February at the very latest, i apologise for this short notice.

If you wish to enter this event, please download the entry form here: Entry Form Payment is to be made at the accounts office (who will stamp your entry form) before returning it to the Sports and Activities Office.

Full meet details including the withdrawal policy set by the hosts can be found here: Splash Meet Conditions

Saturday March 7th is the BISAC athletics meet – also hosted at ISB; swimmers who have been selected for this event should make this their priority, but may attend the Sunday if they wish.

Many Thanks

Vicki
