Dear Swimmers

Would you like to be considered for the BISAC Swim Team?

Trials will take place on Tuesday 9th February 2016. 2.40 – 5.30pm for swim team members in year 3 and above. Only the fastest 3 swimmers in each event on the this night can be selected, previously recorded personal best times will not be considered.

At BISAC  junior swimmers (under 11 on March 28th) may compete in four individual events and two relays, senior swimmers (11 years and over on March 28th) may compete in six individual events and two relays, it may therefore be necessary to select swimmer number four or five from the results on Tuesday.

The selected relay teams will be required to attend Tuesdays 2.40 – 4pm, with all swimmers required to swim a minimum of two sessions per week at school (the relay session may be included as one of these sessions.)

There is no need to register in advance, poolside registration will take place at 2.40pm with the first event beginning at 3.15pm prompt. However, should you be committed to another you time on a Tuesday please ensure the activity office has been informed so that the you time registers are correctly adjusted.

Best Wishes

Mrs Gill

19 swimmers competed this morning in their first ever swim meet at the Bangkok Prep Puppy Cup. The meet was open to only those swimmers who were not selected for the recent ISB SwimFest and contained many of our Year 2 swim team and Development Squad.

The swimmers competed in 6 events; 25m Freestyle, 50m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke, 25m Breaststroke, 25m Butterfly and a relay.

Many swimmers achieved a personal best time, some achieved heat winner ribbons and many achieved event medals.

In the overall points score Shrewsbury placed first to win the first every Bangkok Prep Puppy Cup. A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in this wonderfully friendly yet still highly competitive swim meet.

Any swimmers who are interested in joining the swim team should register for stroke school this week during the You Time enrollment block, in week 7 a time trial is held where swimmers can enter either the Year 2 Swim Squad or Development Squad.
