45 Swimmers attended the short course (25m swimming pool) on Saturday and 13 swimmers attended the long course (50m swimming pool) ISB Splash Championships over the weekend.

On Saturday 144 individual swims were completed with 100 personal bests achieved (69.4%) and 2 new swim times were recorded.

On Sunday 34 individual swims were completed – a staggering 28 of which were new swims (these swimmers had never previously competed over this distance and went into the meet with NO entry time (NT) of the 6 individual swims with an entry time , 5 swims achieved a personal best!

Dear Swimmers and Parents

Please follow the links below for the psych sheets, meet program and swimmers entry lists for ISB Splash this weekend.

Shrewsbury have been allocated the first warm up session, all swimmers should arrive at ISB sports complex no later than 6.50am. Shrewsbury will be seated inside the gym, in our allocated area.

For swimmers taking the school bus, the bus will leave at 6.10am prompt. If you have not booked a seat on the bus and wish to do so please contact me in the Sports and Activities Office before Thursday.

It is expected the meet will conclude by 4.30pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday. Please may I make a polite request for all Shrewsbury swimmers to remain at ISB until the medal presentation is complete, in the past two swim meets, Shrewsbury swimmers have won awards and there have not been present to collect these awards.

All swimmers must wear the Shrewsbury green and gold swim suit, with white Shrewsbury swimming hat, there are to be no exceptions to this.

Swimmers will each receive a program, t shirt and lunch voucher for the Saturday, these will be available to collect from your swim coach on Saturday morning after the coaches meeting. Results will be published in the gym and on the Meet Mobile App, please search for ISB Splash Saturday and ISB Splash Sunday these are separate meets. The results published on the score board and on meet mobile are not confirmed until the official paper results are published in the gym, however should you spot an error with any of the results please inform your coach within 30 mins. All results must be contested within 30 minutes of publication.

Dear Parents and Swimmers

The deepest swimming pool is today experiencing a technical problem, while we resolve the issue this swimming pool will not be in use this afternoon.

Swimming will therefore finish at 3.30pm today for Killer Whales, Blue, Green, Yellow and Red swim squads.

Swimming will continue as normal until 5pm for FOBISIA and the selected BISAC swim team who received their confirmation emails yesterday.

Dear Swimmers and Parents

All swimmers who came top 3 in their event at the weekend have now been emailed with their BISAC event selections.

Please do not be disheartened if you have not yet received an email, many swimmers qualified for more than their permitted number of events (four juniors or six seniors) and have to decide which events they would like to compete in. Swimmers who placed fourth – sixth will be contacted on Wednesday when all entry confirmations have been received.

Full team lists, including relay teams will be available on Thursday from 5pm onwards.

Entries will close tomorrow at 5pm (Tuesday 4th March) for the time trials held on Saturday morning (8th March). This deadline will be strictly enforced and NO entries will be permitted on the day.

Warm up will begin at 8.30am with the first race beginning at 9am, it is expected the all events will be finished by 2pm. Swimmers should wear their green and gold team swimming suit and white Shrewsbury swim hat.

Please do not confuse this sign up with the previous time trial held in January; this was the selection for the BISAC training squad.

The BISAC final team (3 swimmers per event) will comprise of only swimmers who attended the selection meet in January and who have subsequently been a regular attendee at the BISAC weekly training sessions, this team will be announced by Tuesday 11th March. Attendance on Saturday will reflect a commitment to attend BISAC,  should you be selected. 

Swimmers who place 1-3 in each event will be offered a place on the BISAC squad (1-4 for freestyle relay), all other swimmers (including non BISAC squad members) will be offered a place on the team for the Marlins Mayhem Swim Meet, hosted on Saturday March 22nd at St Andrews International School Sukhumvit 71, full details below.
