Dear Parents and Swimmers

Please see below for the Tuesday Time Trials program, 50 Fr and 50Br will be heats and finals by age group (U8, 9-10, 13-14, 15+), should there be enough time at the end of the meet then there will also be some fun Freestyle relays – mixed teams by age and ability (names available tomorrow).

Warm up will start at 2.40pm with the meet starting promptly at 3pm. It is essential the meet starts on time to ensure Rugby School can leave on schedule, please be considerate to Rugby School who have traveled a long way by arriving on time and changing quickly.

This is a friendly meet and we would like to showcase how amazing our swimmers are, please ensure you are all wearing your team swimsuit and swim hat.

SHB will be seated closest to the computer control point, parents are welcome to sit with swimmers – please leave the section closest to the emergency poolside exit clear for Rugby School Parents and Swimmers.

Dear Parents and Swimmers

We are excited to announce that the time trials on Tuesday will be a mini meet against Rugby School, to enable all meet paperwork to be completed entries will close at 8am Monday. Please sign up via the link here  Entries on the day or at the meet will not be allowed.

The ISB SwimFest and FOBISIA squads will be selected from these trials, and published on Tuesday 9th October.

For swimmers in stage 6 and 7 there will be a time trial organised towards the end of this activity block – details will be published via the swimming blog once confirmed.

Dear Parents and Swimmers

On Sunday 4th November Bangkok Patana are hosting a national qualifier swim meet – the Trick or Treat Swim Meet is open to all swimmers minimum age 9 Years (on 4th November) in JST 8 and above.

Swimmers may participate in a maximum of 5 events, all events must have an entry time.

Entry fees are 1000thb – payable to accounts.

To register please follow this link register  entries will close at 12 noon on Wednesday 24th October all payments are to have been received by this date to enable all entries to be submitted to Bangkok Patana before the meet deadline.

There are currently 76 athletes entered for the Aquathon 27th October 2018 – please ensure you make payment at the accounts office before Friday 29th September to secure your t-shirt size, after this date we are unable to guarantee that the size you have requested is available. The Aquathon will this year be hosted on Saturday 27th October at Shrewsbury International School, entries are open to all pupils from EY2 upwards.

Entries are 750thb payable to the accounts department.

Anyone intending to take part in the upcoming children’s triathlon hosted by Bangkok Tri Dash should not delay their entry as fewer than 40 places remain. Entries can be made following the web link: http://www.tridashthailand.com/junior-tri-dash-bangkok/

Please note this event is not organised by Shrewsbury International School, and entries are made directly with the organisers.  All transport to and from the event is to be arranged by the competitor, both Ms Alys and Mrs Gill will be present at the event to support our participants.

Should you have any questions about the event these be directed to the organisers who will be better position to answer your queries and to assist you.

Dear Swimmers and Parents

Please do not forget to collect your entry form for Bangkok Patana Tiger Prawns – Sunday 30th September from the Sports and Activities Office.

This fun introduction swim meet is open to all 8 & Under swimmers, Year 2 and above, currently swimming in the You Time Swimming Program Stages 4-7  ( Stage 8 Swimmers and above and those 9 Years +will be invited to trial for entry to ISB SwimFest in November).

Should any places still remain available after the closing date of Friday 7th September – Swimmers U8 in stages 8-10 will be invited to attend.

All swimmers attending the swim meet are required to attend a practice swim meet on Tuesday 11th September at 2.40pm.

Swimmers will practice all events and procedures in advance of the swim meet. Parents are invited to watch from poolside.

Dear Parents and Swimmers

Tomorrow, we host our first Parent and Swimmer meeting. If you are keen to represent Shrewsbury International School in the pool this year, please come along to hear all about the exciting changes to the BISAC swimming program.

Khun Monz and Funkita will also be available outside the Memorial Hall.
