All swimmers will receive confirmation tomorrow via their form tutor of their events for BISAC and will receive a laminated card at BISAC including all their events, heats and lane numbers.

Starts, turns and finishes practice continues every morning this week, it was wonderful to see 20 swimmers practicing hard this morning 6 am – 7.15am

Best Wishes

Mrs Gill

Dear Parents,

The heat index is currently 44 degrees, not wishing for parents to remain in school unnecessarily at the end of the day, I will post the information pack for BISAC this evening, here on the swimming blog.

On the morning of BISAC all swimmers will receive a laminated card detailing their event number and lane.

Should you have questions please do not hesitate to contact me in the swimming office.

Best Wishes

Vicki

A parent and swimmer meeting for all those attending BISAC will be hosted on poolside following the relay practice session at 4pm on Tuesday March 22nd.

Are you concerned about your start and turns? would you like extra practice before BISAC? Would you like to practice your relay transitions?

Every morning next week Monday – Friday 6.30 – 7.15am there will be dedicated starts, turns, finishes and relay transition practice.

With the growing heat index, why not train before school? The weather is cool and the pool is in complete shade. Training is available every morning  6 – 7.15am, come along – all swimmers welcome.

Khun Monz will be available tomorrow and Friday after school during swim practice, should you need a new swim kit for BISAC.

BISAC Teams are now posted on the swimming notice board.  BISAC swimming is a team competition; the teams have been selected based upon the best possible point scoring opportunities.

Relay teams will practice on Tuesdays, if you have been selected for a  relay team please make a special effort to attend Tuesday practices.

All swimmers will require the green and gold swim kit together with the white swim cap. The white swim cap is available in the school shop. If you need a replacement swim suit please speak with Ms Gill.

A full team meeting will be held later this week – date and time to be announced.

The Annual Cocktail Party is an event that Shrewsbury Parents all look forward to. It is one occasion where we are not wearing our “SHB Parents” shirts and are instead dressed to our nines ready to impress all.
This night the Heads of the School, teachers and parents all mingle together as parents and well wishers of the children studying in school. A lot of new parents come to this function and friendships are made that will hopefully last a life time.
This year the party was on the 4th of March and Silver Waves Restaurant in Chatrium Riverside was the host. All the SP members looked resplendent in black, a far cry from their usual harried selves that the school sees, at the bake sales, the different celebrations, and around the school at every event. Of course this day was also very special, as it was, Head of Junior – Ms Dennison’s birthday!
Looking forward to another wonderful cocktail party that will be held next year in 2017 that will have even more parents join in the fun.
