Dear Swimmers and Parents.

The final swim meet of the year originally scheduled for June 14th has been moved to the week of June 2nd  – 5th.

The meet will for the first time use the FINA points system, where swimmers score points for the speed of their swim.

Swimmers will need to attend all three sessions in order to gain maximum points.

Monday June 2nd – Best 50m event & 200m Freestyle (swimmers will swim 50m on all four strokes, with the best result used for their final points total).

Tuesday June 3rd – 100m Form Events (not freestyle)

Thursday 5th June – 100 & 200 IM

Points are awarded using the FINA points system (FINA points rank from 1 – 1100) this system is used worldwide to rank swimmers. An app can be downloaded from the google play store to help you calculate your points: FINA App

To understand more how the points are calculated please follow this link from the FINA website: FINA points calculation. FINA points are automatically calculated by the software program used to operate all swimming meets and can be followed on the Meet Mobile App on your mobile device.

Under 7’s

8 Years

9 Years

10 Years

11 Years

12 Years

All squad swimmers will automatically be added to this swim meet, if anyone from the stroke development program wishes to take part, please see Mrs Gill in the sports and activities office before Friday May 30th.
