Today we have found the craft that any body would love. Puppies! Thank you Maggy from Red Ted Art Dog and animal lovers. These little easy Origami Dogs are a perfect craft for a rainy day – simply because – all you need is a sheet of A4 white paper (eg like you get in the printer!!!) and hopefully plain white paper is something that everyone has!
Optional – you can add this to a greeting card or turn it into a mobile!
Once again, we find sharing origami projects for kids, so much easier in the video format. I don’t know about you, but I sometimes find photo or origami step by step illustrations a little confusing. I am to make these origami videos for kids super easy and fun to follow! It really only takes a few minutes to learn how to make this easy origami dog and then you and the kids can be off making more and more and more.. designing them in whichever way takes your fancy. I hope you enjoy our Dog DIY video today!!!!!
Isn’t that simply the cutest? and easiest? Hope you have lots of fun with your easy paper dog… I think it would be great as part of a greeting card or fun dog collage!

We have found one another fun craft for you to make at home during the school closure we represent to you the DIY PAPER PLATE FAN by Playful Parent. Let’s get started shall we?
Paper Plate Fans are a breeze to make and a awesome summer craft.
– Paper Plate
– Scissors
– Craft Sticks
– Markers
– Paint & Brushes
– Glue
Craft:
1. Cut the paper plate in half.
2. Decorate the half plate. You can just use markers to draw, or you can paint first, like we did. If painting both sides let dry a few minutes before flipping over to paint the other side.
3. Once fully dry, color with markers.
4. Glue craft sticks together at one end at about a 90 degree angle, then attach to the back of the plate. (We used hot glue so we didn’t have to wait long to use.)
5. Let glue dry and then enjoy a cool breeze from your fan.
Thank you The Playful Parent for the idea of this fun craft, and we hope you will enjoy it!

We love doing simple origami and this time we’re going to learn how to make a paper boat – a summer favorite! Thank you Andreja Vucajnk from Easy Peasy and Fun again for your endless amazing craft ideas.
All you need is a sheet of paper letter sized or A4. Regular print paper is perfect for this project. Use as many colors as possible.
Start off with a sheet of paper and fold it in half downwards.
Fold in half again as shown on the second image (you don’t need to make the crease from top to bottom – you just need to mark the center).
Bring corners to the center so that you get a triangle shape with a rectangle under it.
Fold the rectangle part under the triangle upwards (as shown with the purple spots) – flip your origami and do the same on the other side.
Grab the center of the triangle shape as indicated on the first image above with the red spot and pull both sides (holding the red spot) out. Flatten.
You’ll get the shape as shown on the second image above (ignore that red spot in the left bottom corner – I have no idea how that one came there haha).
Fold the front layer up (as shown with the green spot) flip the origami boat to be and do the same with the back layer. You’ll get a triangle shape.
Pull the sides outwards and you’ll again get the square shape as shown on the first image bellow.
Slowly pull the top parts outwards and you have your paper boat!

We have found one another cute craft for you to make at home during the school closure we represent to you the 3D construction paper unicorns paper toys by Andreja Vucajnk from Easy Peasy and Fun. Let’s get started shall we?
Everyone needs a little bit of magic in their life and what better way to bring it in, than with glitter and unicorns.
Naturally this one can also be used to make a horse craft, just loose the horn and you have a fun looking stallion.
Ready to make magic happen? Let’s start crafting.
What you need
Print out our template (located at the end of the tutorial). You can print it on regular paper but it’s best if printed on construction or heavier print paper.
Color in the template (skip the hooves).
Use all your favorite colors (this one is a rainbow unicorn).
Add glittery accents with glitter glue if you wish your unicorn to look fancier, but you will have to wait for the glitter glue to dry before moving forward. Glitter sure does add magic to this fairy tale creature.
Cut out all the unicorn parts.
Take the body part and fold the hooves.
Apply glue on the bottom of the hooves…
And stick the unicorn body on the cloud base.
Color in the hooves (hint, hint pink).
Take the paper strip with the unicorn head and apply glue on the area marked with the word glue.
Glue together in a roll.
Apply glue at the bottom of the head, or on the body of the unicorn…
…and stick the head on the body.
Take the colourful mane and glue it on the head.
Next comes the horn. Fold bottom part (along the line) on both horns. Glue the two horns (top parts) together, so it’s colored on both sides.
Apply glue on the bottom part and stick it on the unicorn head.
Fold the ears and stick them on the head
Fold the tale (along the line), apply glue on the back of the tail and glue two tail halves together.
Stick the tail on the body of the unicorn.
You just made some magic! Your 3D Construction Paper Unicorn is all done and waiting for it’s colorful friends to join him or her.

Even though the library is in closure but that doesn’t mean the fun has to STOP! We have brought you the exciting craft by Maggy from Red Ted Art to share it’s call ‘Pop Up Dinosaur Juniors‘. So let’s get started shall we?
How to make your Pop Up Dinosaur Juniors Puppets
Now, cut the one egg shape along the crack into two pieces. The lower part we will glue onto the back of the other egg shape (that is whole). Now here is the call out for attention!!!
Time to GLUE Greg on a Popsicle stick. Make sure to let it dry! I know, I know we dislike waiting, too!ATTENNNNNTION: ONLY put glue on the sides as seen in the picture so that Greg can be moved up and down later on.
When you have added glue put the lower cracked egg shell on top.
When the glue is dry you can slide Greg inside the egg and pull down on the Popsicle until the egg closes completely.
Last but not least add the egg shell “hat” on to Greg with (well yes) glue.
When the glue is dry you can slide Greg inside the egg and pull down on the popsicle until the egg closes completely.
Then SHOUT “peek-a-boo” and make Greg reappear by pushing the popsicle stick upwards.
Aren’t they adorable? Time to guess who is hiding in which egg!!! And once you have hatched your dinosaur juniours… why not create a little story with them?
