Here is your child’s learning for today. Remember to look at yesterday’s guidance for any topic learning suggestions too. Any work that your child completes can be handed in on your child’s return to school.
Reading: Look at your child’s reading book or a book they have chosen. Can they tell you if it is a fiction or non-fiction book? Can they tell you some of the differences between the two types of book. For example, non-fiction books contain real facts and and real pictures. Look at your books at home, can you sort them into two piles ‘fiction’ or ‘non-fiction.’
English: Continue writing your holiday recount. Make sure you include where you went, who you went with and what you did there. For example your child may write: Last week I went to the beach. I traveled on a plane with my Mummy and Daddy. I ate an ice-cream and played in the sea.
Maths: Day 3 on the slides. Subtraction starter and then moving on to counting in groups of 2. Maybe your child might like to make a poster to remind them how to count in 2s? Use this daily to help them commit the numbers to memory.
Please find a link to the homework grid for this term in the home slides folder (link supplied Tuesday 24th February) which also includes lots of great, practical activities for children to complete at home whilst supporting their learning at school.
